ABOUT ME
I was born as a comic book artist and digital illustrator.
I have been working on private commissions for decades and since 2012 I became a Tattoo artist, specializing in figurative tattoos.
In 2024 I restarted my journey in Illustrations field, refining my style and doing some works for boarding games, stationery and small publishing projects.
Currently I'm in search for an agency to representing me.
In the meantime, if you have a few minutes to waste, I'll tell you the path I took to become who I am today...
THE BEGINNING
Obiouvsly... I have always drawn...=) My letters to Santa Claus were monothematic: markers, pencils, pencils, markers. I had simple wishes and my parents thank me. =)
Then I grow up, i tryed other stuff, , but drawing has always been my outlet, my therapy, my fun and my greatest passion.
After finishing high school I attended the three-year course as a comic book designer at the international school of comics, which provided me with the fundamental, after graduating as a fashion designer...
Well, I chose this field a bit by exclusion because in those times (we're talking about the early 90s) there weren't all the options of today, and the only alternative was the art high school or the art institute.
Their programs mostly included "real" drawings, still life, etc... And I didn't like to faithfully copy things but I wanted something more stimulating and creative.
THE INDEPENDENCE
The desire and need to be independent came one day , so I started some various jobs and then I was hired in a large supermarket chain.
But in every hour of my free time I kept to draw relentlessly, both for myself and for various commissions.
I bought my first graphics tablet around to 2004 and it was pure love, I learned as a self-taught to draw digitally remaining fascinated by all forms of art, while I watched the world around me that was changing. The internet was entering all the houses and with it the first forums, the first shares, the tutorials and endless archives of images...
THE TURNING POINT
I started tattooing myself constantly since 2007, when there were still a few of us.....
Someome of the tattoo artists I met saw my drawings and got the thought into my mind that I might be able to do it too.
I was mistakenly convinced that, by becoming a full-time job, I would lose the passion and immense pleasure I felt in drawing, so I always rejected the idea. This is until the work in the supermarket became unsustainable due to episodes of mobbing
And at that moment, at 38 years old, I asked myself a question:
"Are you more afraid of the unknown of getting back into the game at this age? Or the certainty of arriving at retirement in this context?"
.. And the answer came in a second...
I attended the qualification course and I'm fired from the "permanent job" because I immediately started working in the studio.
HERE AND NOW
today I keep working as illustrator and tattoo artist but giving ever more space to illustration's projects.
And since it is never too late to realize our dreams and the time invested in our passions is never wasted, I am dedicating myself more to working on illustration with the aim of finding new opportunities and making it my main profession.
